Yes it's open to the public, but you do have to pay $3 for a 8 hour day pass and then buy whatever you want. I know I work there over 17 years now and counting. It's closed to the public on Saturday and reopens Sunday night at 10pm

I can't really tell you I used to go there with my semi to drop off produce and they do have a controlled access point where you pay to get in and all I saw purchasing stuff was people with business or stores so really looks like you have to call which ever is the distributor that you want to get stuff from open an account and go from there and you have to pay at the gate also everytime you go in other than that the only pple saw going in was the pple that digs thru the throw aways to take home and very few so basically its not open to the public at ALL

No, it is a produce warehouse for the hired workers and for Semi's and trailers to drop off the produce. You have to have an appointment and the fee to get in, if not forget.
