Also make sure you have a valid photo ID. You don't need to be with a member but they won't let you rent a firearm if you are by yourself unless you bring one of your own.
If your new to it and don't have anyone with you, they will be hard pressed to let you fire/rent a gun. The first time I went was with a member. They had me give info so I could be put in there system, sign a doc on a tablet and was good. If you shoot there guns, you have to use there ammo though.
BW won't let you rent a gun if you dont already have one. Especially if you are alone.

No. A firearm safety course would be highly recommended though.
