I probably won't bring any equipment other than my camera.. I'm not a professional by any means. But I do take cosplay photos and Oheka Castle looks period correct for something I was looking to shoot.
Permit is required for professional photographs
You don't have to stay overnight to visit. As far as photo shoots go if it means bringing in special equipment etc. you may need to get permission first.
