Does the orchestra sit directly under the stage at the St. James? Just curious. I was there last night and didn’t see a pit. Thank you!

Yep, under the stage. That's the case with most of the older bway houses

I’ve tried to Google it & found shots of the stage w/ large black holes on either side. Then inevitably tix sales info & “orchestra seat” info. Anyway, thanks so much for responding.

Yes there's this gap in between the stage and the seats and in the middle of the stage it's kind of pushed in and you can see under the stage is where the orchestra sits. You can also Google it to see exactly what I mean.
