Uber would be about $200 USD for that trip. There's a bus at the airport $20 USD each which will take you to the port authority bus terminal in new York city, from there you can catch a LIRR train from Penn station out to long island. You won't save much by using public transport. Alternatively, you can rent a vehicle from the airport if you're authorized to drive. This may be your best bet if you don't have transportation out on long island. Enjoy your stay!
If over 25 with full driving licence I'd rent a car. Make sure it has a toll tag , and that you have Google maps or similar on your phone. Avail of the car to get some shopping in.. one of the most popular discount outlets is located on the road to the city😊 Enjoy
