Why can't we place an order online then pick it up when it is ready? That means less time in the store and around others. Safer for all.

They were letting you call ahead and pick it up curbside, when things are at their worst. Now you can go inside with limited human interaction. You can still call them and schedule a pick up time for you to go in and get it, just not online ordering

Because there is not a huge backstock of items. It can change daily and when something is out, it is out. That is hard to do with an online system.
