Is there a reopening date yet for the Washington monument? I'm visiting for the first time in April and would love to go inside.

Beth, go to the Old Post Office tower. It's the only public view in the city of both the Capitol building and the Wash Monument.

It will be closed throughout 2019 for renovation, and there is no reopening date yet. You can still view from the outside... hope this helps!
