They were cut down because there were so many mature trees that the center couldn't be seen from the highway. Before they cut the trees they averaged a 35% occupancy rate. That lost their main anchors years ago, Sears and K-Mart. Now the occupancy rate will be 76% by the new year. Smaller trees and schrubs are planned.

They are trying to get more business to open up so the trees were cut down to show new business coming in.
