Are the surgical rooms private or semi-private?

For same day surgery they house you in a big ward but each bed can be closed off with curtains so privacy can be created. To be clear, the operating rooms are of course separate. I'm talking about the holding areas before and after surgery. For Same Day Surgery you never get moved to a room, just held in that big ward.

I didn't have surgery. Emergency rooms are semi- private.
