Pastor Jay Ahlemann and his wife Pat started the Christian Fellowship Church in Northern Virginia in February of 1977. Before it moved to Loudoun County, the church was on Route 7 near Colvin Run Mill about six miles west of Tysons Corner in Fairfax County. The church moved to Beaumeade Corporate Park in the 90s when it needed a larger place to serve about 1,000 families with weekend attendance of 1,800. The Ahlemanns served Christian Fellowship for 26 years when they moved to Pasadena, California in December of 2002, when the church had grown to an average weekend attendance of 3,ooo.
Has this church become ingrained in local & national politics similar to other large churches?
Hm. Not sure. I do know though that it was on Beaumeade Circle starting 1995 then moved to Atwater more recently. Did my research.
