I would suggest you get there at 1pm. Queues move fast but could take about 45mins to get in. Plus there would be queues at the lower level gallery and getting in could take close an hour.

I personally don't know. However, my family and I were able to get in successfully on a Saturday with tickets we received from other visitors who had extra tickets they were not using. Wednesdays are not as popular as other days, so you should be okay.

I personally have not tried. I believe Wednesday is a less busier day at the museum. In only visiting on weekends, the mornings are busy.
