Lining up outside the museum at 11am is the best way to get a ticket. They start giving out tickets at the door at around 1pm. I have been there twice at 12:15pm and still managed to get tickets after a long wait but by the time we got in, the museum was overflowing already. So get in line early is the key.
Tickets are FREE. However, there are high volume days and months throughout the year. Visiting during the week is the best time. Less crowded and easier to choose the time you'd like to visit. Weekends are busy and crowded. I recommend you "plan ahead" as much as possible. Don't give up Nikki, try again if possible. It's definitely worth it. Make sure to read the information on the website and print or save the ticket to your email once date and time is chosen. THEY WILL NOT LET YOU IN WITHOUT A TICKET.
