All Smithsonian Museums are free in Washington, DC!
Pkg at a premium. Got there @ 9 am. All lots were filled. Not sure @ what cost. Parked at local restaurant in walking distance. $22 for the day. Noticed those that stayed locally, caught Uber. They rolled right up about 5pm closing time @ the musrum.
The admission is free. They release tickets at the beginning of each month, a few months in advance.
Streets around the Mall $2.30/hr/free Sun, nearest garages 0.5 mi/10 min
We parked in the Ronald Regan building, it was about 16.00 for three hours.
On Parking, my understanding is that parking is costly and timed. We took the metro into DC and walked. You are better off walking in and staying and parking outside of DC.
Is there alot of walking and if so do they have wheelchairs for elderly people.
How much is tickets
Parking is available on Saturday and Sundays at the Ronald Reagan Building. It is across the street. It is reasonable priced. I think there is a weekend day rate. However security security of the vehicle before entering lot.
Architect of this museum
Edward Corrothers I just left there and they told me you have to purchase tickets on the weekends and they said I couldn't buy a ticket because they were all booked out for today.
How much is it
I was just there on Sunday we parked 1 block away and paid $15
The cost of parking is relative. Reagan Bldg is about $25 & close by for an able bodied person. Timing is everything though. A space is not always available. You can pay a service to reserve parking ahead of time or park at the Metro and take Uber which will not be cheap.
Parking on independence up to 2 hours by smithsonian natural history. Not enough time to see 7 levels. Park at Ronald Reagan building straight up 14th st. Block and half on right 25 dollars day. We rushed 7 levels and parking meters were not working. For us a good thing!
