We go to downs as well. But the last beach at Fort Smallwood is a dog beach. You can not get in the water with your dog st Downs.
It has a dog beach at the farthest section. There are doggie bags and disposal containers aplenty.
You're better off down the road at Downs park. They have a dog swimming area.
