Ms. Jones: The Fuel Fund of Maryland does NOT assist with furnace or HVAC issues. We provide financial assistance to low income households who have a turn off notice from BGE. We do provide financial assistance for those with bulk fuel (heating oil) between November and March and are struggling to pay. Yes they will if you qualify but don’t expect the best of service as I had a new furnace installed by the contractor they use and have had nothing but problems with it since & had to have it serviced 4x in less than 6 months & as soon as it got hot this summer the central air froze up & they can’t get out to fix it.
