We went to Freestate Timbers to pick up some wood for a small project yesterday morning. We went right when they opened and the man running the shop helped us out. We asked him to square and clean up the wood since we don't have the tools to do that at home. He said he had time to clean it up quick, but honestly, the wood was in terrible condition when we went to work with it this morning. The wood was not squared or cleaned on multiple sides. The planer didn't do a great job either. I wish he would've said the wood wasn't going to be milled well if we didn't come back to pick it up... We typically buy wood from the Amish community in PA and they are cheaper, have better selection, and do a much cleaner job when milling. I typically don't leave bad reviews on local businesses, but this was a terrible experience.
