They take a limited number of walk in. You have to be there by 5:00 AM to wait for a walk in appt for later that day. You still might not get one, at that point you will have to start over the next day. Much easier if you just get an online appt., if you need to take the written test as well as the driving test you will need two different appts. You can't do this in the same day.
I did , but the lady at the DPS told me they do same day walk-ins , but you have to go online and be there like before they open in line . You should call and double check.
