I have a 2017 sonata and I am having problems making the monthly payments. I've had the car for about 9 months. The payments are about 588 monthly. Is it possible to return the car and get a cheaper one?

Mmm, that payment usually comes from no down payment or possibly weak credit status. You can always go back to the dealership and see if you can negotiate another car. Or try to sell the car through one of the buying programs as advertised on TV. They may buy it to the cost of paying off your car but you most likely won't get any profit from this transaction. It would just eliminate the monthly payment. Another option is to make a year of paying the payments on time and then go to request a refinance arrangement.
