Oliver was born in September of 2012, so he’ll be turning 6 this year. He takes his job as official greeter very seriously, unless he happens to be napping. Some times he will sit on Ann or Jenny’s shoulders while they shelve books. Occasionally he’ll use their legs as scratching posts. When he’s in the right mood, he enjoys a good belly scratch, and for a few of his favorite treats he’ll even do a few tricks... if he feels like it. He is a cat after all, so you never know if he is going to play along. He’s lived at the bookstore since he was a baby and he has many adoring fans. We love Oliver and we’re so glad our customers do too.
I've seen Oliver hanging out in the new non fiction isle. Totally courteous with sharing the isle while looking at books. Never says a word, just stares at you, providing a pur or nod if the book your sampling is a keeper.
