I am truly sorry you misunderstood, Roses. The Senior Center makes every effort to feed everyone who comes through our doors. However, as I informed you, the meals are ordered in advance and therefore the quantity is limited by those who signed up in advance. I offered to check with kitchen staff to find out if any "extra" meals had been ordered so that I could inform you, but you didn't want to wait, which is your right. Cindi's response is an excellent solution. Also, some seniors who miss their birthday lunch for whatever reason, come to the next one in the subsequent month. I will be more than happy to sign you up for the June birthday lunch, just let me know in advance please!
It's better to sign up weeks in advance even if you don't know if you'll be able to make it or not.
