Definitely schedule an appointment you dont want to mess it up anynore than it is.
Schedule an appointment. I have never had good luck with anything Apple. I tend to avoid the hardware entirely. There are alternatives. By the crowds always present in the Apple store I guess others have issues too. But if your MacBook works for you stick with it.
Bring it to Apple store make an appt first online or through support app. One of the Genius' need to take a look at that.
