This is a true statement but what your should do is get a number your can contact them back at and report it to the FCC and FBI because not only will the situation involve violations of FCC regulations and obviously a scam but it involves impersonating a federal agent.
This is a scam. The IRS will never call an individual. Just hangup on them. Do not send them money.
