If I drive to the museum, how is parking in the area?

In addition to the metered street parking, there's a lot at the movie theater a block away which charges for parking there during the day.

There is paid street parking on the same street as the museum. If i remember correctly it's a 2 hr limit. But you can leave and re-enter the museum to go pay for parking

I went twice on a weekend and found parking on the street for free within 2 blocks of the museum without any problem. Maybe I was lucky, but I did not get the feeling parking is an issue in that part of Astoria.
