There is a small waterfall on the way down to centennial Park that is accessible by foot. The only way to access the base of Shoshone falls would be to paddle upstream from centennial park, portage your canoe or kayak at pillar falls and paddle the rest of the way. If you are non athletic like me it will take 3 hours to get there. Wear sunscreen.
