Hello Joshua, Tae Kwon Do is a very popular Korean kicking-based art that is now practiced commercially all over the world. Kempo, on the other hand, is rarer and is a blend of Chinese and Japanese martial arts (Karate, Kung Fu and Jujutsu). Tae Kwon Do is more of a commercialized sport while the art of Kempo is more of a practical martial art system. The art of Kempo is a combination of ancient fighting techniques with modern scientific principles that provides realistic self-defense for real life situations.

Its depends what your looking for and what you want out of it. For me, I was looking for something more traditional. You earn every belt, if your looking to learn moves and get belts then go do taekwondo. If your looking for true confidence self worth, and a combination of several different martial arts, then attend a class you notice the difference immediately.
