Vicki is spot on I went in short sandals no gloves and had not a problem. That being said gloves are a good choice if you don't work construction jobs and not use to climbing. Pay attention to your instructor you be fine .my 21 year old daughter did just fine I have not heard of equipment failure ever
Hi Carol, Thanks for your interest in Go Ape! At Go Ape, safety is our number one priority. At the start of the adventure, each guest is fitted into a safety harness by an instructor who then walks each participant through a safety brief which insures everyone on the course knows how to interact with the safety system properly. Our Ashland course uses a continuous belay system so you will never be unattached from the safety system while in the trees. Our courses are built to exceed the ASTM Standard for Aerial Adventure courses and the Association for Challenge Course Technology Standard and are inspected regularly. On top of all that, our instructors are always available to ensure guests are moving through the course safely and to assist guests at any time. Please feel free to reach out if we can be of any further assistance!
You are in a safety harness. I would recommend gloves, tennis shoes, and no shorts.
