I'm curious. I'm a disabled veteran, 66 years old. Wanted to go there on veterans day.But couldn't because of the number of people. To me a veteran is on who served not active duty. Saw a lot of young soldiers in line. Stay on base. Let us have a day

To me, a vet is a vet, weather they're active duty or retired, they have as much right to be there as I do, they served over seas as I once did, they fought for our freedom now as I once did. Amen, to that bro.

A veteran (from Latin vetus, meaning "old") is a person who has had long service or experience in a particular occupation or field.[1] A military veteran is a person who has served and is no longer serving in armed forces.[2] Those veterans that have had direct exposure to acts of military conflict may also be referred to as war veterans (although not all military conflicts, or areas in which armed combat takes place, are necessarily referred to as wars). A combat veteran is a person who has fought in combat during a war or a skirmish against a declared enemy and may still be serving in the military.
