I wouldn't let that stop you from going. There are so many different parts to this place and it is fairly easy to avoid the ones that would be troublesome for you. I'd recommend giving them a call and they should be able to help you plan.
There are caves to walk around , smaller slides, we also watched a clown act there last year. And I agree don't get the roof pack
They will be missing a lot of what's outside but there's still lots of fun stuff for them.
I would say don't get a roof pass.
