Street parking is meters. We parked 2 blocks away and felt safe but it was during daylight hours. As stated above, they do offer parking right across the street for $10.00.
During the day yes safe and authentic. They have parking $10 for the day as well as street parking. I would park in their lot if you can they have security just in case. Food n drinks are reasonable and good. Tons of cool stuff to do. You will love it!

The parking for city museum is $10 and about a block away but there is street parking available with meters being free after a certain time. We went I. The evening on a Saturday and the street parking was free.
