Can you walk directly (a short distance) to the falls?

There are steps you have to walk down right by the parking lot. A long flight of steps, but it isn't far after that. A short walk. It is very pretty.

You can, and it is a short walk, but there are a number of stairs in case you have a stroller or anyone having trouble with at least 24 stairs.
