So I drove over this bridge a while back and it was bearable. Now I hear locals talking about widened lanes; so my question to y'all is: can one safely ride a bicycle over the Huey P Long?

You would have a better chance of swimming accross and living!

Scariest bridge I've ever traversed. Had to follow a cement mixer across it once in wall to wall traffic with a train on the side. Hold on and dont look down.

Being an out of towner- nobody said Anything about a train coming at you full speed with 3 lanes of traffic on either side ! My steering wheel- poor thing! That was the scariest thing ... I finally got drove through and got to solid ground.. hands and knees I prayed at a little country church. Only to look up and see another bridge!!!! I want to go back and show my husband.. I think I was in Baton Rouge? 190/90 not sure
