Will this place be open if I go super early or is there a gate closing the place? Also if its open and no ones there can i just go in and park my car without paying?

There is always some there. Front parking attendant or check in desk. You will be able to free park but to set up camp you must get your assigned spot check in and your car voucher. The state police also have an office on the grounds. Its very well protected.

Never tried . They assign your site when you pay . Park police are on sight . I would call and ask office .
