Because the whole office is horribly unprofessional! For a government office, you would THINK they'd act and treat their clients with a whole lot more respect and courtesy!!!

They always schedule the appointment calls either while I'm working or sleeping, never at a normal time of day. You have to go into the office for an in person interview. The operator is a sweetheart but no case worker I've ever called has ever called back.

I have been wondering that myself! I am a full time student and because I can't have my phone visible/audible while in class I miss their calls and never get an answer when I call back. My last application was denied due to this, even though I left a message with their office and also with Harrisburg. So I applied again and received a letter from CAO on 6/2 stating I had a scheduled face to face interview on 6/1! How does that work!?!?

Look how long it took me to answer and I don't even work there I believe that they don't hire enough people for the crisis situation we are in leaving the phones unattended

When you call in to the CAO, Leave a very detailed message explaining who you are and the issue you'd like help with or problem you need resolving. A lot of times, they will look into the problem and try to resolve it without needing to waste time calling you back. If you need to call and speak with someone IMMEDIATELY, There is a 1-800 number or a 1-866 number on their website for their state-wide help line. If you call this line, you WILL talk to a real person and you WILL get your issue forwarded directly to your caseworker to get a response within a day or two. If that doesn't work, call the state-wide help line and introduce yourself as Karen and ask for a supervisor. And do what needs be done.

none of those numbers will answer you as of this January, they're active but for whatever reason you get a recorded prompt and it hangs up. try 610 739 4220

It's how the "commonwealth" does things. It's a full court press on the idea of efficiency. .its really not the workers fault.

I've been calling my case worker since Tuesday. My husband and I have a face to face interview on monday. He works and can't make it, so I've been trying to reschedule. NEVER once had a call back. I guess I have to go by myself. SMH!
