Can i take my gun if its in a locked case in my luggage?

I have a federal concealed/carry license and their paperwork says that if you are not actively wearing it, they suggest that you transport it in the belly of the bus, in a lockrd box, empty, and with the clip out. BTW, lock the luggage that you put in the overhead as well, no matter what you have in it. I fell asleep and somebody took my bag down, unwrapped the Christmas presents in it, and ate half of my Nutter Butters.

At a minimum it must be locked unloaded with bolt or clip removed as appropriate and stowed below the bus. Getting legal advise would be a superb idea in this case. If you are traveling from state to state it becomes a Federal matter. I don't believe in looking for trouble, but if this dog bites you, HE WON'T STOP CHEWING for about 5 years ➕ Nobody does the time with you.
