Transfer slips allow you to go from one bus to the next without paying an additional fare. This allows passengers to go to a single destination within the system without having to pay multiple times if they have to transfer buses during that trip. They are only issued to customers who have paid a full fare and they are not valid on the route they were issued from (e.g. if the 20 route writes a transfer slip, a passenger cannot then use that transfer slip to get back on the 20 route 15 minutes later) They are valid for one hour. If a passenger wishes to make a return trip from their first destination, they will be required to pay a new fare to board the bus.
