I am thinking about building a cart for a Weber grill and am thinking about using granite (because you use it around a fireplace) for the counter top. Can a hole be cut into the granite to fit the grill? Can you fasten it to wooden cart?

Cutting the hole for the grill would be no problem, and as long as the cart has substantial support for the weight of the stone then it could fastened to the cart.

I do not work with granite but I would think that you should be able to. People cut out granite for sinks and range tops.
