Calling and asking them for a large group is the best option
I think they might for large groups, but most of the time, even large groups, just check in at the door. Most of the time, depending on the day of the week, they usually get people seated pretty quickly.

Never had to call ahead with groups about 8-12, but i would call if during the busy times
We had a group of 10 people. We did not need a reservation. We all came around the same time. And they didn't seem to get big family gatherings. Funny Thing. While a few of us were sitting down. The staff at the front said they had another couple asking for a table for 10. It ended up we forgot to tell our middle sister we had already gotten there & sat down. The staff we very nice & sometimes chuckled with bigger groups. They provided great service & wonderful recommendations. They didn't charge us gratuity either; however it may just be the waitress.
Not sure but they are fast should'nt have to wait long. But if large group i would call and see. They are great !!!
