Hello, I'm from Oregon and I had the privilege of walking by this beautiful structure but wasn't able to actually go in. My amazing friends didn't think it was open. I'm wondering if I'd be able to come back, if it is open?

It is open. It is just under construction currently on the outside. You are able to still get in to see the inside of The Cathedral and Mass is still held.

The facade is being cleaned and repaired, but the Cathedral Basilica is open. Go through the front scaffolding to the east or west rear side door. There are some signs under the scaffolding.
