Great fishing

The park stocks every day during trout season. So you should never leave empty handed. Daytag ( $4) needed also a valid missouri fishing licence. The river (current river) runs aprox 4.5 miles trough the park all fishable. Some areas are flies only but lots of areas are all bait allowed. Life bait is allowed, like worms and minnows. (Natural bait) However you are not allowed to get them (read: harvest) from the park. The river is easy accesable on many places there are also several handicap fishing spots. Fish size are from small to lunkers. You can keep 4 per day but have 8 max in posession. Fish eat and fish again. Or catch and release. Best time to fish between start at around 6:30am till 11 am after that it varies. Edit price for daytag. Was $3 it is $4 now.

Ignore the guy who said no live bait. Natural bait (worms, minnows, crawfish, etc) is allowed in the park except for the fly fishing only area. You are not allowed to harvest bait within the park.

Recent floods have affected the fishing in the river below the park but it is accessible and has fish.
