We didn't stay at the lodge. We were about a mile up the road. But we did eat lunch, breakfast at the lodge. Reloaded on fishing gear if needed. Overall, I loved the atmosphere and will definitely be returning.

This place is usually a zoo in busy season at the lake, not to friendly or kind. This week was a down week, and most were kind and friendly and helpful, even after placing Mobil order to wrong store. Drinks were tasty and all my foods were in stock. Thank you keep up the hard work..love it when you say hi when people walk in and acknowledge you. 😀

I love everything about Montauk State Park. It's beautiful. Fishing the crystal clear Current River right at it's spring source is the hilight of our stay.They have cabins, camping and apartment style accommodations. The grounds are pristine. Reservations fill up a year in advanced but the wait will be worth it! And...they have the best ice cream and restaurant. There's a retail bait shop on site.

I've been going on fishing/camping trips here with friends and family for as long as I can remember. Montauk is a beautiful place and is a great place to fish, camp, and just enjoy nature. The staff at the park is great. You can camp in a tent, pull up with an RV or a camper, stay at the lodge, or in a cabin (I've done them all, minus the RV). As someone who grew up going here every summer, I definitely recommend it for families looking for something to do after school gets out!
