I know there's a lot of bad reviews for Jason's Place. Is it perfect, no it's not. Is it as nice as a state run campground, no it's not. Is it better than camping somewhere with no bathroom or showers and if you get a little wild in the lower portion you can be as noisy as you want and not get kicked out, try that at a state park... The reality is it's closer to a two star because it is rough but worth a four star verses "real primitive camping" so it gets a three from me. You're in the woods, bugs happen, animals get into stuff if you don't put it up and other campers are the causes of broken restrooms and showers so don't be them.

We used to camp here every summer for our annual trip to the Current River. It was never a perfect campground but has steadily gone downhill. The bathrooms all need repairs and cleaned more often. The sites themselves used to be mowed and kept up but the last couple times we stayed they had high grass, weeds, and were a perfect environment for ticks. I would like to see this place updated because it does have a nice location and a lot of potential. They do have some of the better rates around but maybe need to charge a little more to put money in to their facilities.

It looks like this used to be a really nice campground. We did have a nice stay and the staff folks were great! I was glad to have flushing toilets, but they and the showers really need work. Don't do like I did and close the bathroom door, the door knob had fallen off and I was locked in. The pool was clean and the kids had a lot of fun there. They should invest in a weedeater. The campsite fit our needs, it is camping, after all. We would stay there again.

The camp ground itself was very pleasant. Lots of shade. Really didn't have any huge problems. The showers were in fair shape. It is a campground after all & this is end of the camping season may be different story @ the beginning of the season. The toilets well really could use some attention as in repair. Toilets @ the shower house I am speaking about. Toilets were very slow to flush & fill setting up ideal conditions for nastiness to rear it's ugliness. One leaked water onto the floor as it filled.
