Is it the usual practice to lock the doors 10 min. before actual closing time (happened to us twice so far)?

Yes. All patrons must be out of the building at closing time, the doors have always been locked at 10 minutes before closing to give the patrons already inside the building time to finish their transactions.

Hi . I am so sorry to hear of your encounters / experiences. They usually do that so to only allow people who are inside to leave so they can shutdown for the day . In a way that even when you're inside , it is announced more often so people can wrap up whatever they are doing to get ready to leave . I usually see this kind of practice also at other public places e.g stores , banks e.t.c
