A hidden little gem with due especially to its unexpected location. This Logsdon is for nature lovers. They have indie areas for educational proses and some live titles and such. Also an indie observation area to sit in front of a huge window and use their binoculars and such if you didn't bring your own. Look for the different birds, crabs, turtles, etc. There's a observation deck outside above it as well. Outside there are garden trails and big areas and beach. All part of the nature preserve. Respect the land! Save the wildlife!

What an incredible find on the seemingly inaccessible Connecticut coast line. Phenomenal bird watching due to its location at the estuary of the Housatonic River at the Long Island Sound. Stunning scenery and a decent beach to relax on

This was such an amazing find! Would hate to see it get crowded but hopefully after visiting this jewel anyone would be inspired to protect our environment. As soon as we stepped onto the grounds we heard the sounds of many birds, saw sparrow families at the feeders, butterflies (cabbage whites, monarchs and swallowtails) looking for their favorite flowers, and a bunny eating near a wigwam. The walk on the shore was filled with fiddler crabs, seagulls and sandpipers. We had fun catching the fiddler crabs that were the size of a grain of rice and smaller. At some point you hopefully get to climb the spiral ladder to the watch tower and enjoy the amazing marsh views. Inside you'll find a great area for children to observe and explore. Hopefully, you'll get to observe the osprey family before the migrate. I don't want to give all the details away but definitely, definitely a place to visit if you're a nature fan! Thank you to the volunteers that help run the place!

Great spot for lots of birds! Just please don't go beyond the yellow sign out on the shore so you don't disturb the nesting birds. We let a bird walk because the group chose to go beyond.

Yes and it's a beautiful place to visit any time of year!
This beach is public below the high tide line. Above it is private property. It is meant for walking/birding, not lying out in the sun. There are public beaches down the road for that like Walnut or Silver Sands. Parking at the Audubon is free.
Yes, and no fees
Yes during the day hours
It's really not beach.
Yes!
Yup. Both are free!
It's a great place to visit. Bring your camera
It is not actually a beach. If you pull in to the parking lot you can get out and walk the grounds. There is also a building with displays but I have not been in it as it is it is closed right now because of Covid.
I don't know. Best if you call them
