Hi, I just moved to the area and would like to get a library card, what do you require for proof of residence? I do not have a NYS License that has the Dix Hills address.. Thanks in advance! Tara

Two forms of id are needed to apply for a library card. If your license has not yet been changed to your new address, you can bring two pieces of mail with your address listed on them: bills, mortgage/lease agreement, utility account statements. No junk mail. Please call the Library at 631-499-0888 to confirm your address is within our service area as some parts of Dix Hills are in the Half Hollow Hills Library district.
