Yes, a "CPM Fix Kit" is a made up diagnostic and does not tell you what exactly is wrong with the TV. iDevice Repair will give you a proper diagnostic.
If your TV has been diagnosed with an issue that a "CPM Fix Kit" will resolve then you are not receiving a proper diagnostic.
