Yes there is. We went to a show at National theater and had dinner here first. It was pretty good but there are a lot better choices in the same price range that can get you in and out in time for the show. Reservations anywhere near the theaters are a must though. No chance of getting a walk in table any night there is an event nearby.

Yes, there is. And if you get there around 5:30, walking in is fine. They also have a cheaper happy hour menu in the lounge. As with any fine dining establishment, let them know you have a time constraint, and they will work to ensure you're at the theater on time. Otherwise, they're never going to rush you as guests cone to relax and enjoy. Dining isn't typically a rushed experience. This is one of our favorite places in DC. The food and service are always on point.
