Medical Cannabis (aka "Medical Marijuana") in the State of Ohio is recommended to qualified patients by a certified physician.
You must be a resident of Ohio and have at least one of the 21 qualifying conditions and the medical records supporting diagnosis. If this is the case, then you may schedule an appointment to see a doctor who is certified to recommend you for medical cannabis use. This consultation will cost approximately $300 depending on where you schedule your appointment Neither private nor government insurance covers medical cannabis treatment. Once you receive your recommendation from a physician you will then register with the State of Ohio patient registry. The submission fee is $25 to $50. Upon completion, you will receive your medical cannabis card which gives you access to the dispensaries in Ohio.
