It is great. You are not getting fine dining, you are getting history and a real dive joint.... Staff are fab too.
If you visited today, there is construction work being done on the street that brought a musty smell into the place. If it's from another day than that's the smell of 85 years of Chicago history on the walls.
I didn't think it was musty. It may have been musty people inside a couple of regulars. LOL
I was there a week ago. Did not seem musty. But it is an old shop, located in a building under a bridge. It's living history. Staff was great food. Food good.
