Yes they do help with infections. If they can't the Hopkins Bayview hospital ER is literally right across the street.
I would say yes. If it's fill with infection (very painful) they may decide to cut and release the infection, bandage and give you antibiotics and pain medicine but Im not sure if they will actually removed the cyst. They will give you a number to call to schedule to surgery to have it removed or You may need to see your primary care doctor so she can schedule an appt to have the actual cyst removed.
