The unsolicited advice and showing the products are the strategic methods to get you to buy. Theyre supposed to make you feel welcomed, and personal. This is NOT your regular sex shop. They try to give the best knowledge. Also remember, this is in the gay district of Sac so expect a different approach for sales in this regard.
If you have a problem with people being sex-positive why go to an adult shop and why ask people questions? If you're not interested in that kind of stuff don't come here or when you are asked if you need help say no thank you. It's not other people's fault if you feel awkward in the space.
I think some people feel that they are breaking the ice for others who come into the store. For some it's already kind of awkward and others don't know how to express themselves that they need help looking at or for something.
I know what your saying, It's not like they use it on themselves though.
Tact is a factor. Some have others don't and couldn't depending on the mood of what we're for that visit. Online "Blush Novelties" brand is carried here, however what I was looking for not in stock or available and decided to browse at that point. One individual helped me look for what I was there for and turned annoying to the point I wanted to leave, but they finally went outside and had a smoke. Another clerk occasionally acknowledged me and helped with a couple of items and I found another brand close to what I was seeking.
